Никто не забыт!

Ничто не забыто!

Слава Украине!

Героям слава!

In 1945, Ukraine still has 27 million from 42 million who lived here before the war. Such a price the Second World, which paid Ukraine. Day of Victory over Fascism, no doubt, is a holiday, especially for those who directly fought and lived through this tragedy, but it must also be a day of mourning and remembrance for all future generations of our state.

Human history has repeatedly witnessed the bloody armed conflicts and wars, in which civilizations perished, disappeared powerful states, leaving the lives of millions. But all of them for the number of victims exceeded the Second World War 1939 - 1945 years. Which left a terrible mark in the memory of mankind. Its victims were not only military but also civilian population, which is not the first time in history has been the object of hostilities. Not spared the terrible calamity, and Ukraine, whose territory in the 1941 - 1944 years. there were fierce battles between German and Soviet troops.

Another feature of the Second World War was the great anti-fascist resistance movement which began in the countries occupied by Nazi Germany and its allies. During the Great Patriotic War on the territory of Ukraine acted many guerrilla groups and associations, which brought heavy losses to the invaders.

Feats of fallen defenders of the homeland, their steadfastness and courage, immortalized in bronze and granite monuments, marble obelisks and memorials in the names of streets and squares, in works of literature and art. Realized their martial affairs - our immortal glory and pride.

Yet ask ourselves: do we all, live, made in order to perpetuate the cherished memory of the heroes of the war to end before I met them their civic and moral duty? We must honestly admit: no, not all. Another and still not done, apparently, the main thing: we do not yet know by name all those who sacrificed himself for the sake of victory, who saved us, our children and grandchildren from death and shame of slavery.

We can sometimes nice to glorify the military successes of fronts, armies, military leaders, but do not know specifically who, where and how he fought, how many residents of the towns and villages were the battles. Is it possible that many families do not know where their grandfather, father, brother, finished his military way? Obscurity disturbing, painful wounds, gives rise to anxiety.

In these books is not just a list of our enormous, often unnecessary, human losses in war. This documentary, based on real facts, evidence of mass heroism of Ukrainians, Russians, best sons and daughters of all the peoples of the former Soviet Union, in a fierce battle with the aggressor, their ardent patriotism.

Remember it is necessary and us alive. This is proof that in our minds and hearts of humanity is the desire to be worthy of the magnificent feat of the defenders of our motherland, an understanding of its involvement, the history, meaning, and to build independent and democratic Ukraine.

Thus the holy commandment "Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten!" will be really alive, effective.

In the publications presented in a virtual exhibition includes archival materials, kontraversionnye views of historians and commentators on current problems of historiography of the Second World War.
