Known scientist-mathematician, specialist on software of computers, corresponding member of NAN of Ukraine, honoured worker of scitech - Ekaterina Logvinovna  Yushchenko stands alongside with
V. Glushkov in the first row of founders of Institute of cybernetics, with which forever linked the life. It is first in the USSR doctor of physics-mathematics sciences, which this degree is awarded for labours on programming. Its creative way takes riches of ideas and trade of scientist, by the sensitiveness of teacher and by inexhaustible industriousness.

As E. Yuschenko remembers " I gave birth on December, 8, 1919 in former the capital of the Zaporozhia cossacks in town Chigirin in the monogynopaedium of teacher of history and geography of Rvacheva of Logvina Feodor, vykhodca from Moscow Suburb. In Ukraine he got after three-year reference to Astrakhan. For revolutionary activity it was forbidden him to live in central Russia. He settled in Ovruche, where got married on daughter of forest ranger. Already working as a teacher in Chigirine, without seeing made off the historical faculty of the Kievan university of the name of
T. Shevchenko. Mother learned to read a self-taught person (on the textbook of arithmetic), and later went in for exam ekstern in a gymnasium. In Chigirine children - three sons and two daughters appeared after each other. I was a next to last child. In 1937 he was counted up a nationalist (though on Ukrainian he talked with an obvious accent, that at once gave out his Russian origin) and arrested".

In 1936 E. Yuschenko acts on the physics-mathematics faculty of the Kiev university the name of T. Shevchenka. However, soon, ignoring even with successes in studies, it is deducted as daughter of enemy of people. Ekaterina found oneself in an extraordinarily difficult financial and moral situation: during many years this brand pursued it persistently.

In spite of everything, a fervent desire to continue and complete education brought it over in 1938 to the Samarkand university in Uzbekistan.

In the Great Domestic war-time it works as vosplamenitelem-podryvschikom on the mines of city Angren-Stalin, that in a 150 km from Tashkent, where young hands are needed were in a war-time; mine coal, which it so needs a country.

After the release of western Ukraine from fascist invaders in September in 1944 moves to the relatives to Ukraine and works as the teacher of middle school on Zhitomirschine in Stryj.о

A capricious fate again sharply changes it, it would seem, already adjusted life. Knowing that in August in 1946 in Lvov the separation of Institute of mathematics is opened AN the USSR, Ekaterina Logvinovna by chance gets in sign of academician B. Gnedenko (in 1950th headed Institute of mathematics AN the USSR), which at once offered to the girl work in the department.

In 1950 Gnedenka chosen an actual member AN the USSR, and his department was translated in Institute by mathematicians AN the USSR is in Kiev. Ekaterina Logvinovna together with a monogynopaedium at once agreed to the move in the capital. So Ekaterina appeared in a historical place, where under the direction of S. Lebedeva in 1948-1951 created the first in continental Europe COMPUTER - MEVM.

The important stage in its scientific activity is related to research-and-developments in industry of the «address programming». It offered one of the first in world practice programming languages – the Address language is the first fundamental achievement of Kiev school of theory of programming, passing creation of first such as if programming, as FORTRAN (1958), COBOL (1959), ALGOL-60 (1960). The address foresaw not only appearance as if programming with the vehicle of the indirect addressing but also asamblerov. A textbook from  the Address language was translated into Slovakia, Ugorskiy, German, French languages.

For preparation of programmers in 70th E. Yuschenko founded the educational series of textbooks. It is impossible not to reminisce bringing scientific in creation of "Encyclopaedia cybernetics" of two editions of "Dictionary on cybernetics".

For the decision of problem of portability of products of odes 70th in a coauthor with the foreign colleagues of E. Yuschenko actively worked above standardization of programming languages. 1977 national Standard of language is created COBOL, the standards of languages are developed FORTRAN-2, ALGAMS, ALGOL-68, ADA, FORTRAN-77, Paskal', PL/1, Si.

E. Yuschenko had five copyright certificates, it is develop eight state standards of Ukraine. It is an author the over 200 advanced studies, including 23 monographs and train aids. Part from them went out two-three editions and translated abroad - in Germany, Czekh, Hungary, France, Denmark etc.

Her dream was carried out. Together with the students it heaved up the theoretical programming on such height, that scientific school of Ekateriny Logvinovny YuschenKo-rvachevoy became noticeable in the world.

Life of Ekaterina Yushchenko is compared to the fate of large englishwoman Ada Avgusti Lavleys, which carried with mathematics.

Developed in Institute of cybernetics AN an algorithmic address language is suitable the USSR both for description of arithmetic and intricate informative-logical problems. The choice of one or another style of address language as an entrance allows to build the more or less difficult programing programs (PP).
